WHO IS JESUS?
Who is Jesus?
If you were to do a quick google search, you would read, Jesus was a man that lived 2000+ years ago. But Jesus is much more than that, Jesus is the Saviour of the world! He is God in the flesh, he came to save humanity from sin. In order to "save" humanity, he lived a perfect life, and died on a cross, to paid for our sins. The bible puts it this way, "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:1 ESV
What must we do to be saved?
Being saved means that we have accepted Jesus is Lord and received forgiveness of sins, which only Jesus can do. In order to receive Jesus' forgiveness we must repent (turn from) of our sins and believe that Jesus is the Saviour.
John 3:16 - 18 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
What do I do next?
After repenting and asking Jesus to forgive us, the next step is finding and getting connected to a bible teaching church! At Winger Church there is definitely a PLACE for you!
